In that theme, I separated 10 Digital Marketing tips for laypeople, who forgive me copying the title of the book Email List For Las Vegas that I have not read yet.
Digital Marketing for Lay People
People buy authenticity.
Just like our way of doing marketing, the way to reach people to buy certain product or service has also changed. Today, consumers are not only attracted by a beautiful image in a social networking ad.
People want to buy branded products that are well positioned on the internet. With good reviews, with posts full of comments from other committed customers. They want to do business with companies that generate relevant and true content by actually teaching people about their type of specialty.
What I am saying here is that if your focus on marketing or your business in general is just to make money, it will be much harder to build a compelling brand around your business. And here I am talking seriously: brands and companies that have purposeful people in leadership roles have their marketing campaigns much more successful and accepted by the public.
Do not just call an empty call now with an interesting price. People will not buy products or services from brands that are not well positioned on the internet. And this sieve will grow thinner.
2. Choose only one channel for at least 6 months and work well on it
If you are now starting with your company’s digital marketing and will play it all alone, choose a social network just for food.
It does not make sense to have multiple social networks and publish the same content on wheels. And you probably will not have time to post during the business owner’s routine. So let’s be realistic.
Above all, choose the network in which you detect that your competitors have more audience. Do not want to invent the wheel going to a channel that your audience is not active. Do a search to identify the best channel and work well on it, with weekly content releases for at least six months before expanding to other networks.
3. Your brand will not survive on the internet without content
I do not know exactly how much that worries you, but the truth is this. Companies that do not generate content or engagement on the web tend to become increasingly invisible.
And that’s somewhat predictable because all the tools we use today, from Google to every social network, are only concerned with displaying what’s relevant to many people. That is, if your site does not have hits, or your posts have no content, Google will not display your result because you do not want to risk that person having a bad landing page experience.
Also, when your site has little content, it’s quite possible that people spend little time on it, which ends up contributing to a worse place in Google’s ranking of results.
4. Be Realistic
Face the facts. You would never buy something from a company that has 1 follower on every social network and almost no digital presence. We need to make it clear that people only feel willing to make contact with a company or buy a product if their brand passes security to it.
This security, or digital presence, is something that takes time to build. And this often depends on the work of an agency along with you. It may be that from experience, professionals help you to identify what works best. But the construction is the same, only being made by other people.
Taking this into consideration, you need to be realistic to know that ever digital presence your brand will be just another business profile on the internet. Until you gain relevance and especially visibility it can take more than a year.
5. Be persistent
Of course, if you are going to work on the digital construction of your brand, you will need a schedule and enough discipline to make sure you do the essentials. Even if the results do not appear right away.
This is especially true for companies that are now making their websites, for example. The results grow over time but you need to have a good frequency of posts. This makes the algorithm understand that you have a content update job related to your thread, strengthening your domain as a subject matter expert.
With social networks, you can see results more quickly when you invest in media, that is, you pay for Facebook or Instagram networks, for example, to show your advertising to people according to the characteristics you choose.
Investing in media is something that can help your brand a lot grow faster. Still, you need to maintain a good frequency of updates. Even the best posting with the largest investment will have a validity and you will need new publications and strategies.
On any channel, you need to be consistent in generating relevant and intelligent content.
6. Engagement – the life of your brand on the internet
How much your brand is engaged on the internet is pretty much “the hour of truth.” If you have 30,000 tanned Facebook page, and 1 million followers on Instagram but have no engagement, the numbers are just … numbers.
Black Friday is already there: it happens on November 23rd. For that year, the first forecasts are very optimistic. For example, e-Bit data indicate that Black Friday should grow 15% over its latest edition. And to help you prepare for that date, Aged Direct Mail Leads we’ve separated some strategies that might be interesting. Check out!
Know the demand of your audience
To define the mix of products that will be within the climate of discounts know the preferences of your person well. This attitude is important so that you do not have losses with the stock afterwards. This way you can also make decisions based on your public’s real interest in the company’s merchandise.
This step is easy and not very expensive. You can do a formal research by email or bring that up during nutrition of leads, for example. In addition, you can also take advantage of times when the customer has initiated contact with your company, such as when finalizing a purchase.
Set a marketing budget
Investing in digital marketing can put your company one step ahead of the competition. To do this, know the characteristics of your audience to know what strategies can work. Choose the right channels of disclosure and quantify the spending you will have on paid media investment.
Choose the channels of disclosure
Establish the channels of communication and customer service that are the focus of your person. The idea is to go where your audience is to optimize the chances of closing deals and quickly clear doubts. This selection should be made especially in social networks, which during Black Friday become central environments for the dissemination of offers.
In the digital environment, each action can be measured and then evaluated accurately. Mapping some Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) provides a true analysis of your campaign. Some effective indicators are:
Cost of Acquisition by Customers (CAC)
Return on Investment (ROI)
Black Friday is a great sales opportunity. It starts a promising period of the year for trade. With simple strategy and marketing actions, your customers will be able to take advantage of your offerings, and in addition, your business will profit greatly from it. Good sales!
Something you should know when you start in the world of blogging is that you should not obsess about the generation of content, or in other words, you should apply the Pay Per Click Management (PPC) Pareto Principle effectively, dedicating 20% to the creation of content and 80% to the promotion plan of those contents. Think for a moment that if we start from that idea a blog could work with only 4 or 5 posts that were in the top positions of the Google search engine and that generated 20 to 30 thousand visits each, to these contents I call the Pillars of your Content strategy and should be an important part of your work with the blog. In this article I am going to tell you how we can position an article in Google and get more than 100,000 visits per month. For this I am going to explain a fantastic way to find long tail niches that you can add to your blog editorial calendar. To find these long tail niches we will use ahrefs, one of the most important in my opinion if you want to increase the web traffic of a project. What I like most about this tool is its ease of use and how we can access very high quality information in a matter of a few seconds. To make the search is as simple as indicating a search term for example “social networks” and find which are the niches that contain this word that have more traffic and visibility.
Then we will filter by language and by web traffic, so that we can see first those that have more traffic.
Once you find a topic I recommend the following analysis:
1.- Analyze the monthly visits traffic.
2.- Analyze the number of keywords that we can achieve.
3.- Analyze the competition and difficulty of the term.
4.- Analyze SEO On Page optimization (content, images, density, prominence, etc.)
5.- Analyze the page authority, the domain authority and the relevance of incoming links or backlinks.
Once this analysis is done we will be able to know if we are definitely going to work that niche to position it or if instead our website does not have enough authority or enough guarantees to climb to the first positions.
It is as simple as adding the url of the page that we want to analyze and then clicking on Organic Searches> Better pages.
What I like about ahrefs is that it even gives us an approximation of organic traffic of each article, I think it is a very valuable piece of information.
Something you can observe in this top 10 of the capture is that many of them are long tail, so this reinforces my theory of attacking this type of niches.
It is as easy as adding the url we want to analyze and then clicking on Organic Research> Pages .
What I love about this tool is the ability to analyze competitively, being able to analyze any site or web page in all its facets.
In this second example we see that the top 10 matches 100% with long tail.
I knew that getting the enriched result was going to report a large amount of organic traffic, so I took into account using a ready format to get it.
The good thing about these Rich Snippet is that we can get to get ahead of the first position in Google without even being the Top1, sometimes not even being the Top3, which makes it a very great organic advantage and we must know how to take advantage
You get a surprise when you see that the article has authority on page 1, but the truth is that it is only a month and a half and has not yet assigned its authoritative value, but what is surprising is that a post escalated to the first position and generate this volume of traffic only 3 weeks after publication and when you have not received the link juice of the links you have obtained.
If you analyze the following captures you will see that you have obtained 79 links from 14 different domains.
In addition, other interesting data are the more than 2,000 keywords placed in Google and how the traffic estimated by ahrefs is close to real, almost “nails” it. Have you seen how easy it is to find these high traffic niches for a blog?
What are you waiting to start to try and position an article in Google?
The next step would be to define your editorial calendar for the next 3 months, and establish what is the promotion plan for each article, and when I talk about promotion, I talk about getting visibility in all possible channels, including scaling positions in the Google search engine.
Remember that you need to get links from highly authoritative domains and if they also come from high traffic sites it would be perfect, because you will also be advised to link juice and we will obtain highly qualified traffic, which will logically improve the user experience.
The most effective and easiest way to get them is to publish articles in other blogs, and to achieve this we have to do a lot of networking, there is no other way, think that the blog is a very personal tool and for another blogger to let you enter their house We have to earn it virtual, and the best way to do it is little by little and with time.
Relationships are not created or invented, born from the moments and occasions that you live with other people, so the best way is that, create many moments where that person can know you more and you also to her.

Then in the afternoon I’m going to give you a workshop on how you can monetize a blog, I’ll talk about the most effective ways and how to launch a course or an infoproduct so that we really get the desired results.
Positioning an article in more than 100,000 visits per month is possible, if I have got it you can do it too. Start by selecting nicely the long tail niches where you want to position and then set an entire plan or promotion strategy to take it very high in many Internet channels, and mainly in the Google search engine.
In this there are no tricks or stories, only to do well the promotion strategy, so it establishes a good tactical plan to each post long tail that you want to publish in your blog.
And remember, do not get obsessed with the generation of content or fall into the error of increasing the frequency of publication on the blog, with that you will not increase web traffic.
